Install modules from the Marketplace
A module is a bundle of nodes that you can add to EdgeWeave. The Marketplace tab lists the modules available, some free and some paid. The marketplace is also on the web at marketplace.edgeweave.app.
Find a module
- Search by name or keyword, filter by category (Graph, Maps, 3D, Database, Data, Math, Statistics, Automation), and sort the list.
- Select a card to see the description, author, version, price and the Python packages the module needs.
Install a free module
Press Install. EdgeWeave downloads the package, scans its code for security problems, and adds its nodes. They are ready straight away, in every project, with no restart.
Modules are stored per user, outside any one project. Find them under Installed, where you can read the module's details or Uninstall it.
Python packages a module needs
Some modules need extra Python packages, for example the Stats Toolkit needs
scipy. They are not installed automatically. After installing, open the
module under Installed and press Add requirements to project. EdgeWeave
installs them into the active project's environment (see the
Packages panel).
Do this in each project that uses the module.
Buy a paid module
Press Buy, enter the email address for your receipt, and finish payment in the browser window that opens. When the payment completes, EdgeWeave collects your licence automatically and installs the module; you do not need to copy a key.
- Your licence is tied to your EdgeWeave installs (up to three by default). To move it, deactivate it on the old install first.
- If you close EdgeWeave mid-payment, press Buy again and choose Check for my license instead of starting a second checkout.
- A refunded or disputed purchase revokes its licence.
Is it safe?
Every module's code is scanned when it is published and scanned again on your machine before any file is written. A module that fails the scan is not installed. A module's nodes still run as Python code on your computer, so install modules from authors you trust, as you would any package.
Publishing your own module
Any node you write can be shared. A module is a .zip with this layout:
manifest.json name, slug, version, price, category, summary, requirements
blocks/*.py your nodes (the same files you use in modules/user_blocks)
examples/*.weave optional example workflows
README.md optional
Build the package, then upload it to the marketplace service with your creator API key. See Write your own node for writing the nodes themselves. Creators are paid for sales through Stripe, and EdgeWeave keeps a commission on each paid module.
